General Limitations

As a small business, there are a few things we can't do...

But there are lots of things we can do! If a service isn't listed on the website, or you just have a general question related to house cleaning, feel free to reach out and I'll see if I can help!

Heavy Clutter

Too much clutter can make it difficult to leave things how I found it and to clean in a timely manner. If clutter is moved to the sidelines before the clean, the area will be thoroughly cleaned. If the clutter is not, I will just work around the items to the best of my ability. It’s worth reiterating that I am talking about heavy clutter. Having 10 knick-knacks on your hallway table is not going to set me back, and I can certainly leave that how I found it! This rule is for borderline-hoarding type environments.

Fragile/Irreplaceable Items

If an item seems too fragile to clean or one-of-a-kind/irreplaceable, discretion will be used and the item may be skipped over. A dirty antique is better than a broken antique! 

Unsecured Items

If something in the house seems unstable/unsecure/unsafe to touch, it will be skipped over for safety reasons.

Bugs and Mold

We cannot treat for pests or mold, however, staying on top of your cleaning can help prevent these problems from occurring over time.

Residential Laundry

Laundry must be available to put in the wash at the time that the cleaning is scheduled to begin. For residential cleanings paying for laundry service, all laundry must be gathered before the cleaner arrives. Laundry service includes washing and drying the clothing. Folding/hanging/sorting is not included. Instructions and preferences must be provided for laundry. It is $15 per load of laundry cleaned. The per-load laundry fee can be waived for a flat $15 if there are multiple washers and dryers available on-site. 

Rental Laundry

Laundry must be available to put in the wash at the time that the cleaning is scheduled to begin. For rentals, this means the guests will need to have checked out before the cleaner arrives. Towels/sheets/pillowcases will be folded and put away, and beds will be remade with clean sheets.

Chandeliers

These light fixtures will generally be skipped. They are too delicate and often out of reach. Exceptions may be made for the most basic and sturdy of chandeliers at the cleaner’s discretion.

Vacuum and Mop

A regularly maintained vacuum and mop are provided for every clean with clean filters and clean mopheads, however, you are welcome to provide your own if you prefer to do so. 

Distance

Bell & Whistle services Belltown and areas immediately surrounding Belltown as we use a cart to get our supplies to and from each cleaning, moving on foot. If you would like service outside of that area, a fee for transportation can be added by request.

Service Area

This is the general area I serve at no extra cost, as I am willing to walk about 30 minutes to and from each cleaning. Areas outside of this map are available for service with the cost of a round trip ride service included on top of the house cleaning rate.
